Thanks to my sister, I’ve been getting lots of compliments on my hair lately. She’s my resident researcher when it comes to mining the marketplace for the best non-toxic, natural and organic products out there and I do believe she struck gold when she discovered the shampoo and conditioner I’m now devoted to.
The products I’ve been using for about a month now are made by Acure Organics, a company with a commendable mission statement:
Acure Organics is a family owned and operated company founded on sustainable principles to provide the highest quality fair trade, natural and certified organic personal care products. Our products are created with great care and are a reflection of our values. Each of our products is free from animal testing, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, harmful preservatives and artificial colors. We travel the globe to find the most potent certified organic ingredients that meet our high standards of efficacy and purity.
I’ve tried many natural or organic products over the years, but most just don’t work as well as they should. And while I was certainly skeptical, it turns out that’s not the case with these products. I use the Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, formulated for dry, curly hair.
Not only does this shampoo and conditioner work, they completely exceed my expectations. I actually have wildly unruly, naturally curly hair that I’ve been wrestling with all of my life. I can honestly say these products tame the wild right out of it leaving me with hair that’s silky-soft and super-shiny. Could be my bad hair days are behind me (ever the optimist). The true test will come next month when I head to South Florida. Nothing puts a damper on a great hair day faster than all that high humidity in the Sunshine State :)
How about you? Have you tried any Acure products yet? Would love to know what your experience with them has been.
Sounds like a great find… And looks fantastic…
Love these informative posts.. Great photos.
Believe it or not, I was thinking about how much I love those products while working with my own hair today! I too give Acure high marks for the way their shampoo and conditioner give great body and shine to my perfectly straight hair!
Lucky you, with your straight hair ;) And happy to hear I’m not the only one seeing results with this line!
Gorgeous hair~~ You must have been reading my mind. I want to do a hair products day too. Yours looks lovely. I love Kerataste oil that makes one’s hair smooth and soft.
Thanks so much,Jess! Great minds, right ;)
I’ve not used the Kerataste, but have heard great things about it!
I love Acure! I have very fine/flat hair and have been using the lemongrass shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft and shiny now :)
Happy to hear your story! Sounds like you’re as happy with this product line as I am!
I’m so impressed!! Your hair is gorgeous! Mine is really unruly lately- thanks for the tips!!
Absolutely! Give this stuff a try – you won’t believe it!
Ok…a woman after my heart. From one curly to another…love when I hear about products that work. Now I’m off to order!!!
Ha! We’ve got to stick together ;) Let me know how you like these products, Robin!
My hair is so dry — do you feel like these products moisturize? Would love to try something organic that would heal the winter damage! Your hair looks beautiful btw :)
Beautiful hair! Good genes, and the Acure, might have something to do with it… Very informative post!
Based on your results, I’ll have to give the Acure a try, to help tame my unruly hair!
That’s an excellent picture, Mary. The Acure is certainly doing its job.
Whatever you’re doing to your hair, it’s working because your hair is beautiful. I may have to give the Acure Organics shampoo and conditioner a try. I also have frizzy unruly hair which I tame by doing Yuko straightening every 6 months. It makes hair silky straight. Have you ever tried it?
Thanks so much, Cynthia! I’m so happy my sister introduced me to the Acure products. They’ve made a huge difference in my hair’s manageability. I’ve never tried the straightening treatment, though I know people who have and just love it. I’ve honestly always been afraid to try it, but it obviously works – your hair is beautiful!
A nice shampoo and a conditioner can go a long way to tame ones tresses! Though, I also love treating my hair with hot oil massages and hair packs.

Yes, the hot oil treatment is great! I have to take more time to do those treatments…always feel like I’m rushing.
I always like to see as well what others use on their hair. My hair is fine, but I have alot of it. I use hot rollers to get curl. I will look into your product. I do like natural products and have been using Aveda and others, so this I may try. I really like that pic of you in the lovely dress, and your hair looks great there with bangs and a flat iron. http://www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
