Good morning! Summer is still flying along, isn’t it?! How’s yours been going? Have you done any traveling? We’re headed to the wine country next month (always a treat!) but lately we’ve just been enjoying things in our own backyard.

Have you been to Chicago’s Blue Door Kitchen & Garden yet? If you haven’t, put it on your must-go list. This beyond charming oasis located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast is my kind of place. The Intimate farm-to-table restaurant helmed by celebrity chef Art Smith serves up delicious dishes made with fresh, local ingredients sourced from Midwest farms. We stopped by for lunch the other day and ordered two massive chicken Caesar salads (sooo good!), but you can also order up an extra helping of decadent by feasting on the always popular pierogis or Smith’s famous buttermilk fried chicken. The elevated shabby chic interior and cozy outdoor garden area make you want to pull up a chair and stay all day. If we didn’t have somewhere else to be, we probably would have :)
