I’ve always considered myself truly blessed to live in a town that is so rich in history.

For instance, just a short walk from where I live is the former manor home of the late advertising magnate Albert Lasker.

Built in the 1920s, the magnificent estate sat on nearly 500 acres of land and included its own championship golf course.

Golf legends Jimmy Farrell and Bobby Jones played the course, with Jones calling it one of the top three courses in the country.

It’s an amazing little piece of my own home’s history – that Farrell and Jones may well  have left their footprints in my backyard.
