Flares

I’ve always been a 70s girl at heart so this season I’m feeling right at home with some of the fashion dictates of the moment. Flares, which have been touted as making a comeback for several seasons now seem to have finally taken a foothold in 2019. Some of the offerings are exaggerated in how much denim kicks out below the knee, but I prefer subtler flares, both the long and cropped versions, which while still retro feel modern to me right now. I’m also eyeing this pair and this pair, again, because of their understated 70s styling. This is a silhouette that flatters all shapes and elongates the legs for miles. No matter your height, put on a pair of heels, or boots and add a silk blouse or a cozy sweater and you’ll be good to go.
