I’m not exactly sure when I got my first pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars, but I know it was a long time ago because I vividly remember lacing them up when I was in junior high. (Like I said, a long time ago ;) )
Fast forward to 2014 and this comfortable classic is still going strong and still in my shoe rotation. It’s a great, casual, sporty shoe for running around town. I love that it’s unassuming yet loaded with character. Like the people I’m most often drawn to, this legendary sneaker is unpretentious and super cool.
How do you feel about these classics? Do you own a pair or two?

Nothing says classic like Converse….. Love the post and the vintage Bally….
My work wife is wearing a pair today! I love them – you look super cute!
Hi Mary! 1st, (Sorry trouble with F key), I love the green on you. I think it is a great color with your skin tone. I have been debating getting a white pair of jeans as well, and I like your style, I would end up getting boyfriend ones, and chuck taylors are classic, and I think just look so cool in general. I did get on the sneaker slip on bandwagon, and probably will be do for a casual post as well. Great, and put together!
I love Converse! I have a pair of pink w/white polka dots double/reversible tongue low-tops. They’re actually Girl’s shoes but they work on me, maybe because I’m so petite. My better half owns countless pairs of high-tops. He even has red and green plaid holiday Converse with attached jingle bells!

Oh I love them Mary! As a matter of fact, I love them so that I did a post on my Chucks too. I go for the colored ones, but they are ultra cool. I first fell in love with them in high school. I was a cheerleader and we wore them for pep rallies.

This just screams “I am a fun and energetic woman”, I love everything about this look. You already know I’m ready to head out in my Chuck Taylor’s, in fact I found the cutest summer dress at the Gap yesterday that will be perfect paired with some Chuck’s.
