That Skirt

I spotted this skirt a few weeks back and absolutely fell in love with it. Something about the mixed print and the silk jacquard fabric, along with all the feminine details – the A-line silhouette and the tulle crinoline underlay – just spoke to me. And when I tried it on, well, let’s just say I was sold. Skirt  //  Sweater  //  Camelhair Coat: MaxMara  //  Shoes (a steal and so comfortable!)  //  Bag: Chanel  //  Diamond Brooch: Vintage *** Linking up with: Michelle / Rachelle / Jen / CaryLee / Meg / Patti / Lauren / Cherie / Carrie...

Not So Basic Black

When it comes to my own personal style I like to keep things as uncomplicated as possible. Playing Favorites

End of summer dressing can sometimes start to feel a bit monotonous. Instead of buying something new, my trick at this late date is to shop my closet. Clean lines, simple silhouette, a perfect go-to look for this time of year. Top (similar) / Theory pleated mini skirt (similar)/ Tory Burch Clutch / Paloma Picasso Cuff /Zara Sandals / Ray-Ban Wayfarers *** linkups: fashionfilethursday /...

The midwest was still knee deep in snow, so without hesitation we drove off on our 17 hour excursion, the blustery scenery slowly disappearing in the rearview mirror. When I finally stepped onto the beautiful sandy beach it was with a deep sense of knowing that I had...

Fade To Black

Whenever I visit Beverly Hills, I’m always struck by the quiet calm of the city’s neighborhood streets. It’s like no one is ever home. There is however the occasional break in the peace and tranquility when one of the myriad tour buses drives by, slowing down in front of the homes or former homes of Hollywood’s elite. That one of those buses slowed down to check out my photo shoot made for an interesting experience (read pretty funny).  The patrons on said bus seemed to think they had stumbled upon a celebrity when they spotted me. Some took photos....
