I’m finally coming down from an incredible weekend wedding celebration and as my own daughter’s big day fast approaches I’m reminded of how quickly life goes. I can honestly say we did not want this past weekend to end. It was that magical. Beautiful bride, handsome groom and everything perfect from beginning to end. Just went way too fast!
My dress for the big event was a last minute substitution. The dress I had planned on wearing to the Saturday ceremony and evening reception arrived from the West Coast still in need of additional alterations. With no time left to have the dress fixed I turned to one of my favorite online retailers- Moda Operandi – and found a gorgeous dusty indigo gown that saved the day. While it’s no longer available at MO I was able to track this beauty down for you here and can’t say enough great things about it! It’s by Needle & Thread, a line I have never worn before but I will definitely wear again. The floaty confection replete with starburst embellishments fit like it was custom made just for me. Such a nice surprise! Nothing beats a dress that doesn’t need alterations, don’t you agree?!

That one went to the wire Mary but so glad you found such a gorgeous dress at short notice!
Me too, Gail! I better give myself extra time for my daughter’s wedding this October. Don’t want any snafus on that day :)
What a beautiful dress! Superb!

Thank you so much! It definitely saved the day!
This dress is so elegant. You’re very brave to be down to the wire like that and try a new label. Brava! Brenda
Turned out to be one of my favorite dresses ever. But I’m betting the dress that I’ll be wearing for my daughter’S upcoming October Wedding could take the prize for my all-time favorite. We shall see once the alterations are complete :)
