Love them or hate them (I’m clearly in the first camp) they are back and enjoying a moment thanks to Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele.
Jewel-tones and classic black berets have shown up in several of Michele’s collections, adding an extra dash of visual interest that is fun, fresh and modern.

The iconic beret, with its rich history and symbolic cultural ties, looks to be a strong statement-maker as we head into spring. Mine is wool felt, an archived classic, but this of-the-moment accessory can also be found in crocheted cotton, hand-knitted wool and even straw.

It’s a great accessory to elevate your classics or to add a little quirk factor to an otherwise laid-back look.
