Take one sea blue, grey and red cotton flannel shirt, lose the sleeves, spin it around, give it a rib-knit crew neck with back zip, fringed hem and trapeze shape and voilà, the flannel shirt – reinvented. I spotted the one I’m wearing in today’s post at Barney’s recently and fell in love with all its little details. No surprise for those who know me, since unique interpretations of beloved classics always get my attention. The designers behind the shirt and an entire collection inspired by French-girl chic are Sean Monahan and Monica Paolini of the New York-based Sea collection. I hadn’t been aware of Sea before, but the line is definitely on my radar now.
