“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine,
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
I lost my father many years ago, when he was still a very young man. Following his death the industry he worked in honored him by chronicling his achievements in a national trade publication. What really touched my heart about the piece was the way it captured the true essence of my dad. The headline said it all – Gentleman John Passes.
He was indeed, a gentleman, a superhero to a little girl. He was everything to me.
