“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.”
~ A.A. Milne
The calendar doesn’t lie. No matter the cooler than normal temperatures here in the Chicago area, winter is indeed, dead. Today is the first day of Spring and I’m celebrating by heading to New York for a long weekend. Next to my beloved Windy City, NYC is near and dear to my heart. Not sure I’ll be bringing this camelhair coat along with me, though it sure would make a great blanket on the plane. :) This is one of those versatile pieces that easily transitions from winter into spring. Dressed up with a great pair of heels or down with a comfortable pair of converse sneakers, it’s a coat with multiple personalities.
I’m literally so happy about Spring being here I could cry! Are you as excited as I am?

Love the look… Yes can’t wait for spring…
Perfect way to start the new season!
Enjoy your time and stay warm! Beautiful coat!
I love NYC. Have fun! Coat is great because it is so versatile, both style and color.
Great outfit! It all looks like pure high-end quality (Stuart Weitzman, J Brand, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and Max Mara). Good stuff sets the style, and when it goes out and comes back in, is still at the head of its class. Sweet ensemble!
The drape of that Max Mara coat, with those lapels, looks majestic. Beautiful camel color… goes so well with black. The vintage Chanel, along with the Stuart Weitzmans, sets it off perfectly, completes the outfit. Flats would have looked so out of place.
Great outfit, beautiful quality stuff, gorgeous day, and spring’s here! Now off to NYC for a fun frolic in the Big Apple; and Life is GOOD!
Well, in California it always seems like spring or summer, but yes, I am very happy, and you look stunning in your coat. Enjoy New York.
Hallelujah to Spring….& hope you’re having a blast Mary!!!

Mary, first you have a great smile. I love the camel jacket and your shoes. Sadly, I have to vicariously live through you and other bloggers regarding shoes. So pretty. Here in Charlotte, we are in our 60s, but hopefully it will turn to the high 60s soon. You look lovely.
Stop by if you can

You’re so very kind, Jess! Regarding my shoes, all heels are not created equally, but these are some of the most comfortable pumps I own.
As for you weather, we’re almost rivaling you here in Chicago today – it’s 66 degrees! So happy!
That’s a stunning coat! Black and camel is one of my favorite combos.
Yay! Enjoy your spring time weather :) I hope you had a great time in NY!
