The Georgian Terrace Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at the historic Georgian Terrace Hotel recently during my 13-hundred mile road trip home from South Florida to Chicago. What a gorgeous property! Hard to believe this¬†architectural jewel sat boarded up and condemned in the mid 80s – slated for demolition. Thankfully, the famed property was saved from the wrecking ball and though it’s had many incarnations, one as an upscale apartment building, the hotel with its Parisian flair, eventually reemerged as a luxury hotel in the late 90s and has been going strong ever since. The Hermitage Hotel

It is the only remaining Nashville hotel done in the Beaux Arts style, and is both a member of the National Register of Historic Places and the Historic Hotels of America. Though the hotel has been around for more than a century, you’ll find every modern amenity you’d expect from a luxury five-star property.
