Olive & Rust

Back from an extra long weekend that included a birthday celebration for Katherine on Friday night and a high energy jazz dance performance on Saturday night, courtesy of Giordano Dance Chicago. Really enjoyed the Peninsula Hotel’s new rooftop bar! Great views and equally great wine. Following drinks we headed to Bavette’s, for dinner, which is always a treat. They seriously have the best bread (and I seriously ate an entire basket of it!)! Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start. Enjoy your Tuesday! *** Coat (sold out but similar color here and here) Ralph Lauren Turtleneck (old but...

A Classic Reimagined

Today marks the eve of what is arguably my favorite holiday. The Fourth of July has it all – an Independence Day celebration packed with parades, parties, concerts in the park, and of course fireworks. Speaking of – we had the most incredible fireworks display in our backyard last night. Absolutely magical! And more to come for the next couple of days. So excited! What to wear to tomorrow’s festivities? Why not a look that is classic Americana? OK, so maybe I do look like I fell into a time machine. After all, I did wear my levi’s overalls...
