Today marks the eve of what is arguably my favorite holiday. The Fourth of July has it all – an Independence Day celebration packed with parades, parties, concerts in the park, and of course fireworks. Speaking of – we had the most incredible fireworks display in our backyard last night. Absolutely magical! And more to come for the next couple of days. So excited! What to wear to tomorrow’s festivities? Why not a look that is classic Americana? OK, so maybe I do look like I fell into a time machine. After all, I did wear my levi’s overalls into the ground back in the day, as in college days. True, I probably never thought I’d own another pair, but, what can I say, when I spotted these recently I thought, why not? They suddenly seemed on point again and they are definitely perfect for the Fourth. I gave mine a grown-up overhaul by adding a brightly colored bow-neck top, and neutral sandal. My multi-colored straw bag – another nod to the day- finishes off the look with just the right amount of pop.
