The power of a red lip is undeniable and on this eve of International Women’s Day, I thought I’d share the show-stopping shade that has revved up my normally subdued lips.

The latest and greatest creamy red lipstick to make the edit into my beauty bag has been around for a while. NARS Audacious Lipstick collection includes several gorgeous reds with names that give a nod to iconic Hollywood starlets. Think Audrey, Grace, Lana and Rita , the last of which I’ve been wearing lately. It’s got a creamy, semi-matte finish with orange undertones. I have to admit, when I heard the word orange I kind of cringed. It’s never been my color. Still, the NARS rep assured me that “Rita’s” orange undertones give warmth to the red and said it would definitely compliment my skin tone. I was skeptical but turns out she was right. Rita is my new fav!
