I love coats. In fact, you could say I’m a bit obsessed with them. No matter the silhouette, texture, pattern or hue, they are definitely a defining element of my signature style. True, I live in the Midwest, where it seems always to be cold and the right coat is a necessity, but honestly, the main reason I’m such a lover of the perfect topper is how it can elevate any look. The best part of course, is that the right coat can pack a stylish punch, amping up your basics without a lot of fuss. Today’s white denim and cashmere knit sweater get a nice boost with the addition of a chestnut tweed peacoat. The double-breasted coat has all the classic peacoat attributes but its rich, nubby, wool tweed gives it a subtle, but unique flair. With colder temps right around the corner (though today’s high is supposed to be 79!) stay tuned for lots more coats and how to style them.
