I can always be assured of finding a little peace and serenity in Naples. My home in this sunny little sanctuary is where I go when I want to unplug and escape from Chicago weather (it’s actually snowing as I write this!). Life in Naples is simple, for me anyway. Days are spent at the beach or pool, evenings sitting on the lanai with a glass of wine and a breathtaking sunset.
Doesn’t get any better than that.
But for those not looking to find a Hemingway moment, there is plenty to do here. You’ll find a plethora of eateries, art galleries and boutiques in Old Naples, upscale retailers at the Waterside Shops, and a breathtaking center for the visual and performing arts, which is home to the world-class Baker Museum and the Naples Philharmonic.
For me, though, the best art can be found by simply taking a walk. The scenery here is spectacular, saturated in every glorious hue of the rainbow…
and the best part is, there’s never a snowflake in sight ;).
Wishing you a wonderful weekend wherever in the world you happen to be. Make it a good one! xox~M

Beautiful photographs…. What a wonderful retreat to enjoy the sun and surf…
Mary, where was I when you were on the trip, could I not have fit into a large suitcase? j/k! It sounds amazing. When I hear of all your excursions, I tell my husband we need a vacation soon. I love the pictures, and you hit the nail on the head, relaxing with a glass of wine and the sunset, as well as the arts would be a great time. xo jess
