I got my first pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers back in the 80s (probably after Tom Cruise put them on the map in the movie, Risky Business). They’ve been my sunglasses of choice ever since.
Sure, I’ve worn many other brands over the years, but I always end up back where I started, feeling most at home with a pair of Wayfarers sitting on the bridge of my nose (though they can sometimes get a little heavy, since the pair I wear most often have the original glass lenses).
And, really, what other sunglasses can even compare to the enduring cool-factor the Wayfarers exude? Little wonder why they’re recognized the world over and that their iconic design is said to be one of the best-selling in history.
Sunglasses may come and sunglasses may go, but you’ll always recognize me—I’ll be the one wearing the Wayfarers, a style that is truly an American classic.
