HOMETOWN: Lima, Peru
PERSONAL STYLE:
My personal style is mostly laid back, and simple. I barely wear anything other than black jeans and plain shirts, although in this weather I am forced to layer up with some button ups and sweaters.
FAVORITE WARDROBE ITEM:
In the winter it’s my Paddington Coat, but in the summer it has to be my boyfriend chino shorts.
I’D NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN:
Tie-Dye, never.
THE WORD THAT BEST DESCRIBES ME:
Chill
THE CITY I’D MOST LIKE TO LIVE IN:
Somewhere as full of energy as London, with the sunshine of Perth, walkable like Florence and with the food of Lima.
I’M LISTENING TO:
When a Fire Starts To Burn—Disclosure
I’M READING:
The American Buildings and its Architects
MY FAVORITE MOVIE:
I just saw “HER” and I really liked it. I love movies full of visual details but also clean artistic direction. I remember movies by the striking images in them. I very much enjoyed “Vicky Christina Barcelona” and “Match Point,” both by Woody Allen.
MY DREAM JOB IS:
To be an architect for restoration projects. I would love to work with historic buildings and avoid making them redundant. I love the historic fabric of the “built” environment and how it can tell us many stories about the identity of the people who built it and altered it over time. In particular, I would like to find a studio where hand drawing is used equally or more than computer renderings. The ideal situation would be to work at a creative hub, where the people with whom I share space are not only architects but creative from every field.
IF I COULD DO ONE THING OVER AGAIN IT WOULD BE:
I have had the luck to travel to many places this past year. I would go to all those places over again and explore them further.
MY HAPPILY EVER AFTER LOOKS LIKE:
It is 10 in the morning, the sky looks bright blue and the sunshine illuminates my kitchen. I turn on the kettle and prepare my cup for the perfect tea. I have time to enjoy it, the weather is nice, which means that my bike ride to work will be pleasant.
