Yesterday’s weather was absolutely manic! When this photo shoot began it was sunny but cold. Within 10 minutes the sun was gone and the very first snowflakes of the season started falling all around me. If you look closely at the photos below you can actually see some of the white stuff. Crazy, right?! I don’t know about you but I am definitely not ready for snow yet!

Lucky for me I had the right sweater on—a thick, textured knit that kept me toasty warm (well, at least the top of me, anyway). I paired it with a classic black wool pleated skirt and my new favorite acquisition, black leather booties. I have been searching forever for a pair, which has been no easy task because I have really narrow feet. I actually lost count of how many styles I ended up trying on before I found these. I have to stress that I am not compensated for mentioning brands, but these Stuart Weitzman booties are so comfortable that I will likely be wearing them a lot this season.

I also have to share a little beauty tip I implemented for this shoot—for the first time ever I used a tinted moisturizer on my legs (which were scary white!) and I can’t believe how great it worked! Why haven’t I thought of this sooner?! Now if they only made heated tinted moisturizer I’d be all set for the Chicago winters :)
