Looks like the fountain of youth may exist after all (well, sort of). If you want to slow down the aging process, then, according to a new study, you had better put on your sunscreen. Researchers confirmed this week what most of us already knew—that in addition to it being a potent weapon against skin cancer, sunscreen is the best anti-aging product on the market.

The study, published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, looked at both men and women under the age of 55 and their use of sunscreen.  Those who used sunscreen on a regular basis had 24 percent less skin aging than those who used it only occasionally. It also appears it’s never too late to start using it. Sunscreen’s skin-saving benefits were seen in both the young adult and mid life subjects.

Katherine grew up wearing sunscreen. When she was a baby I was forever slathering it on her face and body. It may have driven her crazy then, but today she admits that she’s happy I was so fanatical about it. One look at her gorgeous skin is proof positive that sunscreen is the best skin-saver around.
